The turfgrass research projects were cooperative efforts by Texas A&M University, Texas Agricultural Experiment Station (TAES), Texas Cooperative Extension (TCE), and sponsoring organizations. The Texas Turfgrass Association (TTA) was the principal sponsor, with other sponsors including the Texas Association of Nurserymen (TAN), and Texas Association of Landscape Contractors (TALC), which have combined to form the Texas Nursery and Landscape Association (TNLA). The Texas Agricultural Statistics Services (TASS) assisted with data collection. The results of these and current studies can be used to assist in the estimation of the turfgrass industries effect in other locations and is of benefit to those who sponsored these studies
